When Ron’s grandson Logan was born, Ron wrote a prayer asking for God’s help instilling four fundamental qualities in him. As a parent or grandparent, what do you hope for your own children or grandchildren as they grow up?

Transcript – Grandparenting:

I think it’s been about two years ago, I had the opportunity to see our grandson baptized. And that morning I woke up with a passion. And that passion was to write a prayer, a specific prayer for his baptism.

And here’s what happened. I sat in our living room and what I wanted to, to say about Logan, of my desires for him is he grows up, came to me immediately. And it was these four things:

Number one, that he would know that he was created unique in all the universe. His DNA is different than any of the 10 billion people ever been born. And that he likes himself.

Number two, that he would be able to take that giftedness, that uniqueness and plug it into a career, into a calling, into a purpose.

Number three, that he would be a communicator that was confident, that could communicate attractively humbly, and speak life to others.

And last, but certainly not least, that he would understand that there’s something bigger than him, that serving other people, that having a vibrant faith in Christ is a big ticket in life.

So if you like this, if you think I’m on target with what a parent or a grandparent would want for their child or grandchild, then gimme a big thumbs up. If you think I’m off target, happy to have your comments.

You know, the, the heart’s desire of Serving Your Purpose is to help you live in the midst of your highest destiny every day. This is Ron Beshear. Have a great American day.
