Meet Ron and Mary Beshear

After graduating from Murray State University with an MS in communications, Ron launched into a long and illustrious career in the financial services industry. Ron served as branch manager, and then managing partner, at a Fortune 500 financial services firm, becoming an expert in employee benefits and business needs analysis. Ron began speaking at workshops and seminars in 1987, when he and Mary Beshear founded Serving Your Purpose. Ron was a founding board member of Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, and he currently serves on numerous trustee boards in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. Ron’s mission statement is to live an outward-focused, others-centered life, serving individuals and institutions both personally and professionally for God’s glory. An accomplished author and seasoned speaker, Ron has won numerous awards for his community service and his work in the financial sector. When he’s not inspiring others to pursue a career with purpose, Ron enjoys coaching tennis and spending time with his family.

As a high school teacher, Mary enjoyed helping teens learn the skills of critical thinking, creative writing, and confident public speaking. After earning a PhD at Marquette University, Mary turned her career energies toward homemaking and parenting. While raising two children, Mary somehow found time to write scripts for radio, edit a pastor’s sermons, teach women’s Bible studies, and write for a national magazine. Mary has published three books: Fall in Love with Your Future, a short motivational book she coauthored with Ron, The One HE Loves, an inspirational Bible study for women, and Fight the Good Fight, the true story of one mother’s legacy. Over the years, Mary has served on trustee boards for her church, for her children’s school, and for numerous nonprofit organizations in Cincinnati. Mary’s mission statement is to bring out the best in others, to do each day’s work with excellence, to grow in knowing God better, and to honor Him with the time and talent He’s given her.

Ron and Mary are celebrating 53+ years of marriage. They enjoy spending time with their children Ben and Robin, and their three grandchildren.
