Transcript – Your Life Work

Hi, this is Ron Beshear, and today, Ron takes on your life work. We have been hosting for over a year, a small seminar call, Career With a Purpose. It’s, it’s brought to you by Serving Your Purpose.

I learned about 40 years ago that there are different stages in life and it, it is sort of like a curve that goes up where in the beginning, most of us, in our twenties, it’s all about survival. Finding a job, getting our life started.

In our thirties, we begin to have some success. We begin to perhaps get married, have children by our first home.

When we get into our forties, we start thinking about significance and does our life count. And what I’ve been thinking about and we talk about is there’s sort of three components that make you feel like and know that you’re having significance. And that is when you’re doing something that you’re good at, you’re doing something that you love, and you’re doing something that pays well. You end up with this sort of sweet spot where you just know you’re winning, you’re happy, you’re on purpose, you have significance.

My encouragement to you is to be brave enough to seek that. It’s not easy. Sometimes we get stuck in a position, it’s not what we want to be doing, but it feels risky to make a change. I submit to you it’s even more risky not to make a change.

So, if you feel like we’re on target today with these comments, give us a thumbs up if you feel like we’ve missed it, share those comments. Also, what we’re trying to do at Serving Your Purpose each time is to help you live in the middle of your highest destiny. Have a great American day.
